Salt River

Salt River could have been the drainage system from the area of Emerado, Ojata and Kelly's Siding, including the Clear Water Salt River, or flats. The drainage enter the Turtle River in the vicinity of the present Middle Grove Church of Meckinock, about half way between Emerado and Manvel, North Dakota. At that time, this portion of the Turtle River was very heavily timbered from west of Larimore to the Red River of the North.
